Patrick Harr, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Nirvanix will separate the myths from reality regarding the recent "buzz" surrounding "Cloud Storage".  Of the $55B annual spending in storage and storage services, it is believed that at least half of that will shift to the cloud in next 5 to 7 years. Utilization rates and escalating costs are giving way to disruptive economics, on a global scale as well as a desire to get out of managing explosive growth in storage. A shift in CAPEX to OPEX spend with economic downturn will further accelerate the move to cloud. With cloud storage, companies can focus on growing and managing their businesses not on storage costs and infrastructures.
