Integrating Encryption in Information Lifecyle Management

Encrypting sensitive data in your storage system exposes that data to a risk of loss unless Information Lifecycle Management systems integrate the required key management and maintain the availability of the key material.  This session will discuss how encryption, key management and ILMs should work together. 

As a result of participating in this session, attendees will be able to: 

• Develop an understanding of why key management and data management are the critical elements to have before deploying encryption of your stored information. 
• Determine how key management can be deployed with data management to provide data availability and protection with encryption. 
• Develop a broader understanding of where encryption can be/is deployed in the storage infrastructure.
